Services - Dental Implants

Before Before After

Dental implants are small titanium fixtures, surgically anchored into the jaw to hold a replacement tooth, bridge or denture in place. The benefit of using implants is that they do not rely on neighboring teeth for support--they are permanent and stable. Implants are a good solution to tooth loss because they look and feel like natural teeth, and they do not interfere with speech, eating and comfort.

The surgical procedure of anchoring the implant into the jaw bone is done in our office, under local anesthesia. Once the implant is placed, healing (bonding to the bone) may take three to six months, until it acts as if it were a tooth root substitute. At this time, a titanium post is screwed into the implant and a porcelain crown (or bridge) is cemented on.

Patients with dentures can also benefit from implants. Since dentures are not permanently attached to your jaw, the bone can weaken and the jaw may recede. Implants can keep your jaw strong and stop the receding, while just two to four implants can secure your denture in place, avoiding mobility and shifting.

We provide both the surgical placement and restoration of your dental implants.
